Bring Your Pet to the Dog House!

The Dog House is the perfect place to primp your pup for Spring.

If your dog is in dire need of a wash and a snip, take them to The Dog House. From hair cuts to birthday cakes, The Dog House is an oasis that has everything your pet could possibly need. It is the perfect place to dote on your cat or dog.

The Dog House has an extensive menu of services. They have grooming packages tailored to any breed of dog. Their basic dog bath includes ginger root and pink grapefruit exfoliating scrub shampoo, ear cleaning, ear plucking, nail trimming, and fifteen minutes of brushing. You can add on to the basic bath and get a face trim, full body trim, or all over scissor trim for your dog. Each grooming package is specific by breed, so the costs vary slightly. A soothing oatmeal bath costs $10 and a flea and tick treatment is affordable at $15. The Dog House also has puppy packages, which uses tearless shampoos. The Dog House does not leave your feline friends either. There are cat grooming packages which include a bath with low shed shampoo and conditioner, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and brush out.

The Dog House is a premier place to board your animal. You can have in home or on site services and both include three walks per day, play time or litter change, and a nail trim. Kitty boarding costs $10 per night on site and $15 per night at home. Dogs cost $20 per night on site and $25 per night at home. The shop offers affordable dog walking services as well.

For your pet’s special day, The Dog House has delicious doggie cupcakes and birthday cakes. Cupcakes are affordable at $7.99. Regular cakes can be customized and start at $19.99. The shop also sells gift baskets that start at $19.99 for cats and $25.99 for dogs.

Located on South 21st Street and Passyunk Avenue, The Dog House is a great pet shop that offers all of the services you could need. Whether your pet needs a full body trim or you just feel like treating your best friend, stop by The Dog House. You won’t be disappointed.

A Gazillion Piece Animal Adventure

Visit the Philadelphia Zoo and check out the Creatures of Habitat Lego Exhibit by Sean Kenney. From now until October 31,2010, visitors will be able to view 10 free-standing statues which portray the stories of endangered species. Among the LEGO brick sculptures are the Polar Bear, Ape, Western Lowland Gorilla, Mirconeisan Kingfisher Bird, Diamondback Terrapin Turtle, Brazilian Red-Head Monkey, Harlequin Frog and the Humboldt Penguin.

LEGO artist Sean Kenney has been creating sculptures for over 30 years and holds the honor of becoming the first ever LEGO Certified Professional in 2005. The Philadelphia Zoo and Kenney are also teaming up for the “Build with Sean Kenney” program where children of all ages can learn first hand how these statues were built.
